In June 2008 I opened my garden for the Amsterdam Open Garden Event. In one weekend a hilarious amount of people from all over Europe marched through our house to visit the garden. My contribution to this garden tour turned out to be a nice flop based on mutual incomprehension: the conventional and normative approach of the visitors vision on gardening seemed to clash with my informal ideas of free growing nature in an urban environment.
And maybe more about gardens, this whole event is about curiosity for the way of living in a historical house in the center of Amsterdam. Which is in itself worth the tour.
